Duniway Track Reopens!

Well it was several months overdue. And there was something undeniably shady about the deal behind Under Armor getting to tear out the iconic (if old) Nike track after their acquisition of the old YMCA. But the project is (finally) finished and the result turned out fantastic.

There was no visible UA branding anywhere on the reopened track. The company put a significant amount of money into its renovation of the entire Duniway field and it ended up being an impressive accomplishment.

The track itself seems to be of excellent quality. The addition of soccer goals, nets, an electronic scoreboard, synthetic turf groundcover and what look like setups for shotput and javelin are a very substantial upgrade.

The biggest problem remains user error! People running clockwise, seniors walking in the inner lane and weaving between lanes are proof positive the culture of the track survived its long hibernation to remain occasionally frustrating but always charming.

I've been making PRs everyday since it reopened and I'm a happy chappie. Welcome back Duniway!
